DESCRIPTION:Our 13th National Exhibition 2016 opens on October 16\, 2016 at the Kenan Center House Gallery in Lockport\, and will run until November 13\, 2016. Our juror\, internationally renowned artist and teacher Thomas W. Schaller\, has selected 61 paintings by 46 artists from the 115 paintings that were entered. This National Exhibition has been generously supported by local and national merchants and organizations. There will be 24 prizes handed out at 3:00 pm on Sunday\, October 30th! This Exhibition is inspiring! SUMMARY:November Meeting and Demonstration by William Vrscak
DESCRIPTION:The Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society will feature Pittsburgh\, PA artist and teacher William Vrscak as the demonstrator at their November 17th meeting .Bill Vrscak is a free-lance artist/illustrator and signature member of the American Watercolor Society. A realist painter\, his work reflects a strong sense of freshness and simplicity\, consistent with his attitude that “the simplest statements make the most impact”. \nA frequent national award winner\, his work is widely published. Bill studied painting and design at the Ivy School of Art in Pittsburgh. After 18 years in the advertising business he went his own way to paint and teach. Besides doing illustration and commission work\, he currently teaches workshops and seminars throughout the United States as well as Canada. \nEveryone is invited to attend our meeting and demonstration\, and to hear about our classes\, upcoming events\, and enjoy the camaraderie of enthusiastic fellow artists and art lovers.
