Dynamic Pouring with a Limited Palette with Laurie Goldstein-Warren, AWS, TWSA
“In this workshop we will be using my same limited palette in watercolor. I will be teaching more advanced portrait skills and techniqy=uew such as composing your portraits, wet into we value blending, and creating textures that work in painting. We will be using new finishing procedures and new tools such as a mouth atomizer.
In this workshop we will complete one or two half-sheet portraits. If time allows participants may have time to begin their own project (either still life, portrait, abstract) with my assistance, when needed. We will end each project with a group discussion/critique.
This workshop will be great fun, while learning new skills, limiting your palette and letting go of control to enjoy the qualities of watercolor.

About the Artist:
Originally from New York, Laurie now lives in West Virginia. Laurie has always had a love for the arts. After moving from New York to West Virginia, she discovered a passion for watercolor.
Her work has been widely exhibited across the United States and has also exhibited in Japan, Turkey, Greece, Canada, England and China. Her work can be seen in Splash 13, 14, 18 21 and 23. She has also been published several times in Watercolor Artist magazine, as well as Art of Watercolor magazine. Laurie curated a book about Contemporary Women Watermedia Artists titled “Her Voice.” She is a member of the Watercolor Honor Society and a signature member of the American Watercolor Society, and the Transparent Watercolor Society of America. Her work earned her the High Winds Medal at the 150th Anniversary Exhibition of the American Watercolor Society in 2022. She was honored to be included in the International Watercolor Masters Exhibition in England, and she demonstrated and taught there.
