Sherryl Perez has instructed watercolor classes for more than 12 years and utilizes various
watercolor methods, techniques, color theory, and materials to inspire others to express
their individual talents and styles. She loves the individual growth and exuberance in her
students as they progress in their journey.loves all types of art but is watercolorist at
heart. She finds nature inspirational and the changing flora, colors, moods, and overall
feeling by season gives her joy to create. While creating scenic paintings, she seeks to
capture the local and worldwide culture we may not always take the time to admire but
that can be cherished for years to come through art. Sherryl is a Signature Member of
NFWS and has served on the board and on various committees over the years. She has
received numerous regional awards and her art can be found in many private collections.

Sandy Ludwig was born and raised in Buffalo. She attended Bennett High School, the
American Academy o f Art in Chicago, and University of Buffalo where she received a
degree and certification in Art Education. For 32 years, Sandy taught elementary and high
school level art in the Buffalo Public Schools. She is a member of the Niagara Frontier
Watercolor Society, Western New York Artists Group, and Burchfield Penny Art Center
Artist Statement. I have been fortunate to do what I love in my career – teach art and
share my knowledge and excitement with my students. My paintings and drawings
derive from experiences in my life, from close to home or from my many travels. It is
often in mundane images and objects that I find beauty. New places,, the personality of
an individual, or the uniqueness of a culture also inspire me.I work “plein air” as the
effect of light on shapes in nature has always intrigued me but when I can’t work directly
on site, I use my drawings and photos as reference in my studio. My very first love is
watercolor as I am fascinated to watch the colors mix, blend, and pool, creating edges
and blossoms of color.
