Announcing our Spring 2026 Non-Juried Members Exhibition

The Prospectus for our Spring Exhibition can be viewed and downloaded from the Call for Work page. Here is the link:  

NFWS Spring 2026 Prospectus 

The website will be open for submissions (digital images not required; clarification included in the Prospectus) on January 17th, and will close on March 1, 2026. The Call for Work page will include the Submission Form after January 17, 2026. The Juror of Awards will be Chris Leeper, our Spring 2026 Workshop Artist. 

The Exhibition will be held at the Carnegie Art Center in North Tonawanda from May 13 through June 19, 2026. 

Submission Period online for the Fall 2024 Members Watercolor Exhibition opens July 6, and extends until August 12, 2024! Here’s your prospectus.

FALL SHOW 2024 Prospectus

The Call for Work Fall 2024 will be posted on our website on July 6, 2024. We will notify you and provide a link here, on Facebook, and will send an email link to all NFWS Members. 

Submission Period has ended (8/20/23) for our NFWS Fall 2023 Members Watermedia Exhibition

Thank you to everyone who submitted! We have 100 submitted paintings from 54 NFWS Members. Our juror Stanley Kurth will be selecting a show of between 40 and 50 paintings. The Exhibition Committee will be sending out notifications between August 31 and September 3, 2023.Good luck to everyone!

The submission period opens on July 1, 2023, and closes at midnight on Monday, August 14, 2023. Submissions for our Fall 2023 Members Watermedia Exhibition  will be juried and judged by Stanley Kurth our NFWS Fall 2023 Workshop Artist. Entering Artists will be notified as to Stanley Kurth’s selections by September 3, 2023. 

A link to The Prospectus will be posted on the Call for Work page on July 1, 2023. Submit your work there,  on the Call for Work page, following the instructions in the Prospectus. The Prospectus and a link to the Call for Work page will be emailed to all NFWS Members on July 1, 2023!

The Exhibition Juror and Judge of Awards is renowned artist and cherished teacher Mary Whyte, our NFWS Spring Workshop Artist. 

“In my studio I have a small plaque that reads, “The most beautiful things in life cannot be touched.” It was a gift from my friend Georgeanna, and a constant reminder of what it is we artists try to express. It is not the days we remember in our lives but the small moments.”   Mary Whyte, An Artist’s Way of Seeing.

Submission Period for our Fall 2022 Members’ Juried Watermedia Exhibition has been extended by 3 days thru August 11 at midnight. Submissions will be juried by Glenn E. Blue,  our NFWS Fall 2022 Workshop Artist.

The Exhibition will be on view from October 2 – November 13, 2022, Kenan Center House Gallery, 433 Locust Street, Lockport, NY. It will also be VIRTUAL, and will be posted on our website!
