RITA ARGEN AUERBACH has donated eleven fine works from her private collection which are being offered for sale. NFWS 14th International Exhibition of Transparent Watercolor 2019

NFWS 14th International Exhibition opens October 20th and runs until November 17th, 2019 at the Kenan Center House Gallery in Lockport, NY. The prospectus is available to review, download and print here and on the Call for Work page. . Our Workshop Artist, Iain Stewart is the juror and the judge for awards. Stewart selected 50 paintings from 136 entries from 76 artists. The Awards Ceremony and Reception is Sunday, October 27, 2019, 2 – 5 pm.

Spring 2019 Members Watermedia Exhibition

NFWS Spring 2019 Exhibition is on view from May 1 through May 25, 2019  at the Carnegie Art Center in North Tonawanda, New York. 69 NFWS Members submitted 126 paintings. Our juror Spring Workshop Artist Pat Dews selected 61 paintings from 45 artists. Congratulations to everyone who was selected, and to all the award winners.

It was a challenging task for Pat. Her thoughtful selections have resulted in a stunning show of work by our talented NFWS community of artists.

Artists Talks, NFWS Fall 2018 Members Transparent Watercolor Exhibition

On Sunday, October 28th at 2 pm Sally Treanor and Mike Killelea will guide us through the stunning show of transparent watercolors on show at the Kenan Center House Gallery. NFWS Members Jody Ziehm, Beverly DiPalma, Marty Kutas, Doreen Boyer DeBoth, Janis Stanek and Carol Case Siracuse will share what inspires and motivates them, and their approaches to the medium of transparent watercolor.

We’ve had great success with these artists talks in two previous shows, and are pleased and excited to be able to offer them again this Fall. Everyone is welcome. 

Join us for an inspiring and informative afternoon.

Fall 2018 Members Transparent Watercolor Exhibition, October 14 – November 11, 2018, Kenan Center, 533 Locust Street, Lockport, NY Submission Period closes August 18, 2018!

This Niagara Frontier Watercolor Society’s Fall 2018 Members’ Transparent Watercolor  Exhibition will be juried by Linda Lucas, our NFWS Fall 2018 Workshop Artist. The Submissions Period opens JULY 9, 2018 and closes August 18, 2018. Artists will be notified as to the status of their submitted paintings soon after September 3, 2017. The Awards Reception will be held on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 2 to 5 pm at the Kenan Center House Gallery.

Reception and Award Ceremony, NFWS Spring 2018 Non-Juried Members Transparent Watercolor Show. The awards are being judged by our May Workshop Artist, Peggi Nero Habets. Awards are scheduled for 3 pm. Snacks are being provided by the NFWS Membership. 

Join us for a few hours of afternoon fun with the lively and talented community of watercolor enthusiasts in Western New York and beyond.
